First one to the parking lot, which means, I cleared out all the spider webs with my face. You can thank me with a foot rub. Trail starts as singletrack through some thick mossy goodness and then disappointingly turns into a gravel highway before improving again once you turn off toward the Lime Kiln. The Kiln, used centuries ago by the Forest Elves to fire their pottery and later as a Flak Tower during the Great War against the Railroad Workers stands out against the landscape. Relics, such as these, remind us of the forests enchanted past. Continue on and you will be both delighted by the river shore and disappointed by the train bridge. The trail is easy and nicely maintained. I rate this a 1-out-of-5 on the Sprained Ankle Meter.
