North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway

A wonderful little hike! Would make a great addition to a 2-hike day if you please, like we chose to do. 9AM on a Saturday the lot was nearly full, but they were all going to Monte Cristo because we saw no one on the trail at all! It's a scenic hike, with lots of mossy trees. Hard to tell it was burnt. It switchbacks a little bit, so it gets your heart pumping. But the view at the top is very nice. Great little location for a snack or lunch. Don't forget to check out the other viewpoint just a few feet to the right of the point, to see a snowy Sloan Peak. Nice hike for such a short trail! Parking is right off the highway so no issue. Would recommend!
