Took a spin up Monitor Ridge on Veterans Day/Monday under bluebird conditions. Although it was chilly and windy in the valley, once leaving the ridge and approaching the summit, the wind subsided, and it was warm and still up top. There was well consolidated/trafficked snow from the ridge to the summit. Recent snowfall was obviously light. The easy scramble along the ridge was enjoyable, giving the route a more alpine feel and offering spectacular views to the east of Mt. Adams. There were not many on the summit ridge (~10/12), a conga line ensued on the way down. Left trailhead at 7:00 am, returned at 2:00pm
At closer to 70 than 60, so very blessed to able to get out into the wild blue yonder on a day like this
