Heart O' the Forest — Monday, Dec. 10, 2018

This is a nice, easy walk among lots of big trees.  On a Monday in mid-December, we saw nobody else.  Only one loop of Heart o' the Hills Campground was open.  Note that in winter, Hurricane Ridge Rd is closed most of the week, opening only Friday through Sunday.  So, if you approach the Park entrance booth on days that the road is closed, you'll see a big sign saying "Road Closed".  You can ignore this and cruise by the booth, since the closed gate is beyond the campground entrance.
