There was a light amount of snow on the road to get to the trailhead, but this is dependant on the weather. No long forest road or steep hills. The trailhead is very close to the road if the parking lot is too snowy. There was snow on the entire trail. Spikes were a nice plus, but not necessary. Started out icy, with lots of slushiness once the sun came out. Only few inches. Not difficult to hike in, mainly just annoying and extra tiring. The incline is at a very nice grade. Super manganable. Once at the ridge, the snow got powdery and about a foot deep, but we were so close to the end, it didn't matter. There were no footprints when we started the hike, but there should be a very clear path now. It's super easy to follow in the snow anyway. Views are breathtaking. Can see all of Leavenworth, and Hwy 2, and so many snow covered mountains. Definitely recommend this hike.
