Lots of green - ferns, moss, and lichens. From the 2nd bridge there was intermittent snow. It was never deep; we didn't post-hole; we did not use/need the microspikes that we had with us. Parts of the trail were wet and muddy; with more rain and melting snow I could see parts of the trail becoming pretty sloppy. There were numerous small stream crossings; only one caused us to stop and think about how to navigate it before crossing. Arrived at 9:30 on a Sunday morning to 3 other cars in the parking lot. When we got back at 2:30 the lot was full with around 12 other cars. We saw few people on the way to Camp Jolly (5 miles in) but on the return the trail was more crowded with people and dogs - but all were friendly.
