Trip Report

Wallace Falls State Park — Saturday, Apr. 20, 2019

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

We got to the trailhead around 10:00 AM and got a parking spot, but the lot was almost full. It was overcast, but still a lovely day to hike along the river to Wallace Falls with my wife and in-laws. It was not a difficult hike, but challenging enough to make you feel like you earned the breathtaking views of the falls. We only hiked up to the middle falls overlook. There were a good many people there hiking with their dogs. We saw several friendly chipmunks at the shelter. By the time we got back to the parking lot around 2:00, the lot was overflowing and many had parked far down the road.
