Overall: Great time of year for this trail system.
Driving: Last couple of miles leading up to trailhead just drive slow to avoid potholes. Any normal car or bigger can make it. No snow or significant washouts.
Trail: Trail is in good shape up until ~mile 8 which is post middle Siouxon falls and pre upper Siouxon falls and beyond the scope of this page/hike where a significant amount of tree fall makes the trail hard to go much further. If you go by this page you'll likely turn around at Siouxon Trail/Chinook Trail crossing.
Tips: I suggest at the Siouxon/Chinook crossing to cross the bridge here and go check out Chinook falls. it's a short hike to the fall (maybe 1/2 mile?). From here you can turn back or continue on the Chinook Creek trail towards Wildcat Trail and Wildcat Falls. Wildcat falls is a roughly 100ft drop fall with some cool views.
Warming: The main issue with Wildcat Trail to Siouxon Trail is that it will require fording Siouxon Creek. Current levels are at or just below knee level, brisk water temps, and a relatively strong current. If you are un-sure it is best to track back the way you came.
Other: I prefer to start at the Siouxon Trail head and not where NFD Rd 5701 ends. It is a 3 mile section of very quiet, lush forest that you'll have to yourself.
