My brother, the pup, and myself got up to Samish Overlook at 8:27am. We were the only car there. Hiked without any difficulty. Trail is looking great, no trash to clean up today (yay!). Only crossed paths with one other person on the way up AND two salamanders! So watch your step!
One gentleman passed us up to the dome, but we had one whole side of the rocky lookout to ourselves. Had a quick brunch and rolled back down.
Passed two separate groups with their dogs running off leash, but everyone else we crossed paths with were a delight to speak to! Got back to the parking lot at little after 10, and there were 11 cars in the lot.
Just have to comment that the bathrooms were the CLEANEST vault toilets I've ever seen. Didn't think I'd ever be excited about that. Good quick, early morning hike. My legs feel nice and stretched out!
