Tiffany Mountain via Freezeout Ridge — Friday, Jul. 5, 2019

Beautiful but cloudy hike out of Winthrop. I’ve been up in the Tiffany Highlands before but just to visit - not to hike. Expansive high altitude meadows full of wildflowers. Took the spur trail to Whistler Pass on the way down. Adds a mile but very very worth it. Also, our GPS said two miles to the top of Tiffany not three. So elevation gain in book is correct but it’s steeper and shorter than the North Cascades Day hike book lets on...
