North Cascades > Mount Baker Area
Park Butte by stevencharlesc

First: FOUND: black hoodie lined with red, about a mile from the TH, left it at the registry (last pic)

Road: Pretty long, I think this road is pretty rough, lots of pot holes. Would not be fun in a sedan but I think any car could make it of you take it slow.

Bugs: Very present but surprisingly not bad. Didn’t wear spray. I could see them being more annoying at some camps.

Trail: No blow downs or obstacles. This trail is nice in that it eases you into it. Pretty relaxing up through the creek crossing, then slowly ascends until you get to some brutal short switchbacks. At about 2 miles it gives you a break through some awesome meadows and tarns. Then another good climb until the lookout tower. Water sources aren’t the greatest (some in the meadows before the last climb, and some off trail near the tarns on top of the butte). Plenty of campsites. Overall awesome trail, saw people of all ages.
