Lead a hike from Sunrise Point Lookout along Sourdough ridge and onto Skyscraper Pass. Our final destination was the summit of Skyscraper Mountain.
Weather was sunny and warm, which required multiple applications of sunscreen and lots of fluids.
Trail in good condition and the only snow patch was at the top of Skyscraper Pass.
We saw a marmot eating wildflowers and had views of Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) the entire day! ^_^
P.S. There are a lot of people at Sunrise. Please be mindful that this habitat is very fragile and it takes YEARS for plants to grow. We witnessed a young couple going up Skyscraper Mountain and stepping off trail to move past people and cutting switchbacks. We need to be mindful of this ecosystems and the damage our presence causes. Thanks for reading. ^_^
