The drive past Roslyn is really pretty with tons of fall colors. 90% forest service road is in really good condition. The last mile you need a vehicle with high clearance in order to not hit all the fallen rocks on the road. There was no snow on the road. Arrived at trailhead 1030 with only 1 other vehicle and the hiker was just getting back to the trailhead. The hike starts out on a old road for the first 1/2 mile with some fall colors showing through. It was a foggy morning so we couldn’t see the views on the way up. Snow starts pretty fast but is minimal on the trail the entire hike. The trees are frozen with snow and the fall hike turns into a winter hike about 1/2 way up. Once we got to jolly mt the fog started to lift and we saw some of the near peaks. Heading back down saw 2 other groups of hikers. Total 6.5 miles 1800 elevation in about 3 hours with lunch break.
