I woke my daughter up at 3:00am, we grabbed our gear and headed out the door to hike Mount Townsend. We arrived at the parking lot just after 5:30 and started hiking. This is our fourth time up Mount Townsend, but our first sunrise hike.
The trail was snow free all the way to the summit, but the wind froze us to the bone. It took us two and a half hours to get to the top, this includes being stationary for about twenty minutes to watch the sun come up. We were back down in about an hour and a half.
