There are two trees down across this trail, although neither of them make it impassible. One you can easily step over. Most people should be able to duck under the other one. The trail was also very muddy, but 'tis the season.
It was very foggy yesterday so no views from the top, but the short and steep climb make it a good workout. It started snowing once I got to the lookout, too.
I shared the trail with about 10 other people - two families with kids, and various other solo hikers. The parking lot is literally on the side of Highway 2 and there were plenty of spots yesterday.
Can't wait to come back on a clear day!
