Aside from that log, the Snoqualmie RD has reported a large slide roughly 7.2 miles up the road. They are saying it will be closed for a while, as there is water running under the pavement and they're concerned some of the road could give way. Best to avoid the area.

Thanks for the photo and report. By the time I got here at 10:40 am someone had cleared this log by dragging the middle part with a tow strap. What time was your photo taken?

Thanks. Clearing the log didn't help them much -- the small landslide blocking the road is just around the corner.

Can you tell me roughly how many miles in from the Mailbox trailhead this slide is located? We were planning to head up Bessemer tomorrow starting with bikes. Thanks.

Sorry. I should have checked the FS site first. Per the link below Road is closed 7.2 miles from Valley Camp likely for a month or more.
