We had a great time today on this trail! It is snow covered in a couple feet of snow the whole way, but the snow was hard packed from all the foot traffic. We used snowshoes, but the trail could be done with microspikes or probably even just in hiking boots if you don’t mind postholing and slipping now and then. The trail has a nice, easy uphill grade to give you a good work out without completely wearing you out. We were lucky that the mountain peaks came out for us a little for us today through the constant snow. The whole hike took us about 4.5 hours, with a 30 min break at the lake for some food. This was my first time snowshoeing, and I highly recommend it! Very beautiful and peaceful.
