Annette Lake — Monday, Jun. 20, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Annette Lake by MeatlessInSeattle

Hiked on Monday, June 20th. Arrived 11:30 to a mostly-full parking lot, saw about two dozen folks while going up.

Trail is muddy and wet in the first portion, but in overall great shape. A few large trees have come down across the path during the winter but nothing impassable. The last 5 minutes to the lake has some snow but I didn’t need my spikes. Poles were helpful but not a necessity. I’d imagine the snow will be gone in a week with the 80° temps this coming weekend.

Lake still has some snow on the perimeter and surface, but lots of spots to take in the view and eat lunch. Some mosquitos starting to hang out near the water’s edge.

All in all, a perfect day! Glad I squeezed this one in before it closes for the summer.

Whoops, just realized that was six days ago. So I'm not sure when it closes.

The closure has been moved back to July 5, but the project is still expected to be completed in October.
