Easton Ridge — Monday, Dec. 28, 2020

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Easton Ridge by @his.pnw.adventure

Went up Easton ridge from the normal trailhead. I would advise you have a map or gps due to several trails that leave the same trailhead. We put on microspikes almost immediately after beginning and it was compact snow and ice all the way up the switchbacks. We started to access past the switchbacks where the trail is supposed to be but nobody had been up since the last bit of snow so there was no boot tracks to follow. We made it to the ridge but did not continue on the full length of the ridge due to the steep mountainside. Even after we left the ice covered trail we were walking in about 6 inches of powder that had a layer of ice that was keeping us on top of the deeper snow beneath. No snowshoes needed but could be a little bit useful at the top, especially if it snows more.
