Trip Report

Summerland - Panhandle Gap — Sunday, Jun. 26, 2022

Mount Rainier Area > NE - Sunrise/White River
afternoon crossing of fryingpan creek, some used the rope some did not

The trail is mostly snow free (trail visible) to the creek.

Snow covered, and the trail is not visible past the creek.

The bridge is in, but it is a fairly sketchy ford to get to the bridge. Early morning most of us were able to rock hop across without getting our feet wet. On the return (after visiting Whitman Crest) we ran a rope across for extra security. Everyone got their feet wet, and it was knee deep for my 6'1" self.

I believe I saw your group climbing Fryingpan glacier thru my binoculars while I was on 3rd Burroghs. Based on your team's location at 12:20ish, summit time likely around 2~3pm.
