The road is fine for most any car until the Devils Gulch trailhead (3 miles before FS 330 aka Mission Peak trail). It gets dicey shortly after. If you’re not sure if your car will make it, I would recommend parking at Devils Gulch and walking the 3 extra miles- the views are beautiful the whole time. You can also park at Mission Ridge trail (1 mile below FS 330), but there are some rough sections between Devils Gulch and Mission Ridge trail. No pullouts or easy spots to turn around between Mission Ridge trail and FS 330 so once you pass that you are committed. We did make it to FS 330 in a Jeep Cherokee. Parking for about 3 cars at the FS 330 turnoff.
Nice short hike, steady elevation gain but not too steep. Some small patches of snow, easy to cross. Mosquitos were pretty bad.
