Trip Report

Asahel Curtis Nature Trail — Friday, Jul. 8, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

Road to trailhead potholed but fairly short. The lot was basically empty at 10:30am, attributable to being on a Friday and the more popular Annette Lake trail being closed (though I suspect the few other cars there were for sneaky Annette hikers since we didn't see anyone else on the nature trail).

Trail is beautiful, lush and green at the moment. Hiked with a 2.5yo toddler who had a ball and was a pretty good length for her -- only a very short stint in the carrier. Trail well-maintained except for a handful of downed trees. All but one were small and easy to step over. The last one (pictured) was pretty low and since the toddler was in the kid carrier backpack at that particular moment, I had to take it off and slide it under.

Total time on the trail was 1.5 hours including snack breaks, photo ops, etc.. Sad that Annette is closed but might be a good summer for the kiddos to check out this trail since weekend parking will be tons easier.
