Brought some friends to this lovely trail, including one who has never hiked before. They said it was steep but mercifully short, certainly doable and worth the views. There was plenty of space in the lot and hardly anyone on the trail today, we saw fewer than 10 people today, between 9:30am and 11am. The road is a dream all the way up until the bridge right before the trailhead, there are some nasty potholes but I did it in a sedan, just take your time. Not a lot of berries yet but not many bugs today either, surprised by both of those things. This hike is a repeat favorite of mine and my kids, the views are lovely and it’s so short and easy to squeeze into a morning or afternoon if you’re short on time.
