Great views today! Arrived about 11 am, four cars in the lot. The road is long and slow with all the potholes but worth it in the end. I have a highlander and didn't have any problems. I wouldn't want to attempt with a sedan!

Trail is great - just watch the loose scree on the switchbacks. Bugs were buzzing but not biting. Lots of bear grass, lupine and paintbrush. It smelled divine. Hot day (most of the trail is exposed) but had a nice lunch in the shade at the lookout. Gorgeous views all day. Stopped at Naches Tavern on the way back for burgers and beer. 👍🏻

Note: Be sure to turn right at the post (where the road you begin the hike on widens and you get an in your face view of the mountain. On our descent we ran into a large group that didn't see the post and tried to go out that way and scramble on the rocks. Luckily, they saw us and changed course when they realized that wasn't the way
