The trail is clear all the way to the pass after that snow is firm and no snow bridges that can be any danger,Lots of goats, mosquitos ware intense at the end by the time you hit upper snow lake, in simple words this is already a summer hike with some snow.

Thanks for the report. We managed a 4 night 5 day permit for the Core 2nd week of August. This info really helps our prep for this trip. Last time I was up there was 1974 before any lottery.....

Thanks for the helpful report. Was there plenty of water to filter after Nada Lake? I'm trying to decide how much water I'll need to carry during that stretch.

Yes plenty of running water for the entire hike, no need to carry litters just get water as you need.
