This is a fairly short hike with splendorous views. Took us about 1 hour going up, 30 minutes coming down. My hiking buddy and I went all the way up to where the trail vaguely ends, and then climbed about .5 mile further up through the snow before glissading down. I was thankful for my poles, but crampons weren't needed. This hike has some of the most amazing views of the area I've ever seen, but with only 3.5 miles each way it isn't surprising that it's crowded one. Even on a weekday we passed tons of people, though most turned around before the ridge section. The meadows up high have been overused and it's a good reminder that LNT includes geo-tagging, especially in the alpine.
