Colchuck Lake — Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022

Arrived at the TH at 6:45am and was able to snag a coveted spot in the parking lot. Despite it being cloudy, the trail warmed up fast. Thought the cloud cover made the views even more stunning. Little to no breeze made great reflections! Mosquitoes and flies were biting, but not too bad. Would have stayed longer, but the chipmunk situation was bad! They were so aggressive we had to stand to eat and used our trekking poles to fend them off when sitting. Still, one of my all time favs!
