I went out today (Thursday) with my 6yo human and my 7yo out-of-shape rottweiler. The dog was exhausted by 1.3 miles, but the kid was good to go. The trail was nice, lots of up and down rather than steady climbing. We started out at 10:30 am and didn't see anybody else on the Two Dollar trail on the way up. There were a few groups spread out along the Fragrance Lake Loop at different water access points. I regret not bringing our bathing suits because the water felt wonderful and the sand was so soft. Bugs weren't a problem, even without spray. There were several other dogs on the trail, all off-leash, but most owners were courteous and leashed their dogs before approaching us. We passed a handful of groups heading up the Two Dollar Trail as we headed back down, but still relatively secluded.
