Quick update on the beaches boat: she's still there, anchored and upright. See my previous report for more details, but in brief you can find her about 1.25 miles south of the Westport State Park beach access at the lighthouse end of the park.
If you are concerned, all of the caught fish and fuel were salvaged by the owners right away. Please don't graffiti the boat, we've already seen some appear. Hopefully she can get towed soon.
As you probably expect, the beach and Dune Trail have been packed (by Westport standards) all weekend, but if you walk south towards the boat, the crowds quickly thin.
Our family is hiking the month of August to raise funds for WTA's Hike-A-Thon so that the trails can continue to be enjoyed by future generations. Please consider contributing, every $ helps! The last day for donations is September 7th.
