First time on this ridge! Had heard horror stories about the road but it was in excellent condition. Jared and I hiked up to Excelsior Peak and then to the next peak. Wanted to hike the entire ridge but too long and no takers on a key exchange which would have been perfect. Berries by Damfino "lake". Spectacular day. Mt. Baker and Shuckson in all their glory!
UW is doing a survey on parking and usage (I presume) so I texted the requested information (5 cars at start and 5 cars at end of trip).
