Larch Lakes (Entiat) — Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022

Central Cascades > Entiat Mountains/Lake Chelan
Upper Larch Lake

Ice Lakes last year, Larch Lakes this year! The eastern slope of the Entiat Mountains offer some great fall backpacking:). The trail, while dusty, had been mostly logged out (thanks WTA) and is in good shape. The route on GreenTrail #114: Hiked the Entiat Rv Trail to the Myrtle Lake trail, then the hiker only trail #1430.1 to the Larch Lake Trail, camped at Upper Larch Lk, then took #1408 to #1404 and dropped down to Cow Creek Meadow, back to Myrtle Lake and out. This burned area has its own beauty, views are great, and regeneration is going well. GPS:20.3miles/4515' gain.

Heading from Lower Larch to Upper Larch Lake
Heading toward Fifth of July Mt and Cow Creek Meadow
