Arrived at TH 12:15pm on a Monday with plenty of parking even just being a pullout area on the road (no actual lot). Journey up was under an hour, beautiful lookout tower at the top with great seating inside for snacking. The smoke muted the colorful view a bit but still beautiful. Rainier was still visible from the trail just below the lookout tower if you take a second to squint through the haze. There’s a ton of erosion on the trail, making the wood steps obsolete, which in turn has lead hikers to go around them so the trail has gotten quite wide in a lot of places. This trail could use some serious attention but please do your best to stay on the path in the meantime. Overall, a great first visit to Pinnacle Peak. I was hiking with my 7mo old on my back and this was an excellent, approachable hike.
