This park is relatively close to home (40 minutes from South Everett), so thought we’d go explore on this balmy winter day. There were about 4 other cars in the day use parking lot, but we didn’t run into a single other person on the trails. Super flat, and only a couple of puddles (on the south trails). We enjoyed walking along the river, tons of huge maple leaves on the ground, mosses and snow berries galore. Watched a hawk being chased by crows and a pair of bald eagles enjoying a riverside snack. We did the north loop out of the parking lot, coming back by the yurt village, then swung down past the campsites for another loop. Just over 2 miles total. Nothing fancy but always fun to explore outside. 2 porta potties at the trailhead were open and stocked.
