Microspikes required for the full loop; snowshoes handy for the Edith Hansen trail north of the cabin, but while I sank in the snow some, I managed with my boots. Trekking poles recommended. A few trees (six total) in the trail at 47.606037,-117.045439; 47.603291, -117.046581; 47.600370, -117.048804; 47.603864, -117.048091; 47.608457, -117.052802; 47.616393, -117.059899. All easily stepped over.
A beautiful, icy hike where you can usually still hear running water underneath frozen chunks of ice in the creeks. The waterfall was partially frozen and one creek crossing was fully frozen.
