Granite Mountain — Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Taking the path towards Granite Mountain.

Hiked this solo with favorable late-October conditions: little rain, calm winds, very little snowpack, and lots of brilliant Fall colors. The trail was in good condition and was easy to follow, despite the elevation gains. Had one other hiker share the peak/lookout tower viewpoint with me for a few minutes, but otherwise it was a solitary day. Due to going on a weekday, the trailhead parking was almost empty and it was a great day to be out in the mountains.

Trail goes up this avalanche chute!
Selfie with a view at the base of the Granite Mountain lookout tower.
Views of the I-90 corridor with a little sunshine on my hike downhill.
