Cool with typical conditions at the base, but at the summit it was snowy, very windy, and switchbacks were drifted. Most people took a direct, ridge approach near the top in foot-deep snow. I hiked till the end of the trees but stopped just short of the Snoqualmie Valley overlook because of high winds and drifting snow. Others proceeded. Most people wore microspikes for the last quarter of the hike. Poles were very handy. Despite all this, it was beautiful, and a very nice break from the 37 degree drizzle of the Puget Sound basin.
