Great time out as an intro snow-shoer. If you've never been snow-shoeing before it definitely is slightly different from regular hiking, and this is a great trail to get your feet wet (snowy) and learn how different your gait is when wearing plastic boats.
The trail follows a very obvious road. There were cars parked across the street from the Sno-Park but that space is limited, so we opted for parking in the Sno-Park itself. Trail still has a ton of snow, though the first quarter mile or so has some icy crunchy patches. Lots of great views and very little amount of elevation. End of trail is very obvious, the tracks basically just stop and there is a snowman marking the end (as of 4/1).
Overall exact 6 mile roundtrip and a lovely day out. Be prepared for all possible weather though, layers are essential! A cloud would roll in and snow on us briefly, then the sun would come out and immediately make you warm again. Keep your layer options open!
