May Valley Loop — Saturday, Apr. 8, 2023

Issaquah Alps > Squak Mountain

A good spring trainer to check your endurance as this one starts out pretty flat but picks up a good amount of elevation about 1.5 miles in.
Plenty of parking available on this misty day and there’s a machine for  buying passes. I did the May Valley Loop clockwise which takes you by the Bullit fireplace. The summit is a building (but you’re not lost) and then back down is a gravel road back to the trailhead for decent.
Due to the persistent drizzle, trail got pretty muddy in some places, and there was one  tree down across the path, but easily passable.
Pay attention to all the signs as there are many trail options to wander off to if you’re not doing the Loop. Total mileage:6 in 2.5 hours.
