This is a great hike for when you are starting to get into hiking or you want to get back on your feet after months of no hiking/mild exercise. It's a quick hike but very rewarding with the mountain views you get at the end.
The trail is very well maintained overall and restrooms were clean. The only downside is that there are TOO MANY potholes just before you enter the parking lot (and I think it's the reason why this trail is not that transited and parking spots are usually easy to find). Other than that, Garfield Ledges is really enjoyable. There are some tables next to the parking lot where you can enjoy your lunch with the sound of the river flowing right by your side.

If you want to avoid dealing with the pot holes next time, you can park in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Trail parking lot - there's a connector trail that leaves from the NE corner of the eastern parking area that takes you to just before the bridge over the Taylor River, from which it's a short road walk to the Garfield Ledges TH. Adds about 1.2 miles RT to your hike.

I actually considered this but that one was already full of cars. Thanks for the tip!
