Gold Creek Pond — Monday, May. 8, 2023

The road is still closed but snow is rapidly melting. The walk to the parking lot is still snowy, but the picnic area by the lake is all melted out now. 
we walked around the lake and the trail is partly paved, partly snow covered covered. Some snow bridges over actual bridges are melting out and kind sketchy. 
Lots of garbage everywhere. I wish we had brought a bag to help clean up. Also pink confetti and fake flower petals. Such a bummer, will def bring bags to help clean up next time I’m there. 
I was here last weekend too and there’s significantly less snow already. Melting so fast!
