Roadside parking was readily available. The trail was mostly dry with soft muddy areas easy to navigate around. It was very quiet and serene. We saw some bald eagles, a hawk, marsh wrens, song sparrows, red-winded black birds, and many swallows. The hike to the top of Craft Island was enjoyable but rugged in places. The views were beautiful!
