Thorp Mountain Lookout via Thorp Creek — Tuesday, Jun. 20, 2023

Arrived at th 9am Tuesday and only saw 1 person all day. The first creek is easy to cross with some rock hopping and waterproof boots. Trail in good condition. First few miles are mellow and not a ton of elevation gain. 1
Large tree has fallen on the trail that goes to the lake, but can navigate around it. Continuing past the lake the flower meadow is not in bloom yet. I bet this will be another 3 weeks or so depending on the weather. The trail is steeper from the lake to the lookout but still the trail is in very good condition and easy to navigate. There isn’t really snow to cross any more, a couple tiny patches. We did see a handful of wildflowers but the majority hasn’t bloomed yet. No views today from the lookout due to the fog. Took about 4.5hrs, 7.5miles and 2,400 elevation gain.
