What an amazing day to hike to Crystal Lakes. Surprisingly, there were very few people on the trail, in fact we probably saw 25 people in total, which is odd for a Sunday. We arrived at the parking lot at 9 am and there were about 5 or so parking spots available. As others have noted, it’s a steady climb to the top. This 50 year old puffed up the trail in about 2.75 hours. The trail is in great condition and the wildflowers are just starting to bloom - they will be amazing in 2+ weeks. The upper lake was stunning - a wonderful place for lunch and maybe a dip if you’re brave (there was a small group near us that had no problem jumping in). The lower lake is small with 2 campsite and a bear pole - not nearly as impressive. I highly recommend you make a trip to this trailhead. Happy trails!!
