Rattlesnake Ledge — Wednesday, Sep. 13, 2023

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
View over North Bend from just before the ledge

The weather turned perfect this afternoon so we couldn't resist an after-work lap of Rattlesnake. The GPS claims it was 4.6 miles and 1200 vertical from the parking to the ledge and back.

Arrived at the parking a bit after 3:30pm. Plenty of parking, maybe half the first row of the main lot was full and a handful of cars scattered about the rest of the lot. We were regularly encountering other parties on the trail but it never felt crowded - we passed one party every 3-5 minutes I would guess.

Trail is in great condition - yesterday's rain is keeping the dust down and the grip is great. Pretty much the whole trail is wide, smooth, and not very rocky and the grade is quite steady - a perfect exercise hike. Some fall colors barely starting to creep in in a handful of spots, but not much yet. Wildlife sighted: 2 rabbits and one very angry squirrel that was squeaking at us constantly as we passed its tree/territory.
