Bearhead Mountain — Saturday, Sep. 30, 2023

If you would like a little more solitude with an even better view IMO than Summit Lake, choose this hike.
While there was a steady line of noisy folks headed up to Summit Lake, we saw 6 people who were descending and briefly two people at the top.
Some great forest hiking and things get much quieter after leaving the shared trail from the parking lot.
The views are incredible and Mount Rainier, which may or may not show, is not the only view to be had.
When present it dominates the view!
If you go, in addition to the primary view to the trail to the left at the top, also explore the ridge leading towards Rainier.
Great lunch spot with views all around there.
And be sure to stop by the Pie Goddess in Enumclaw on your way out!
