A forested hike to an amazing 360-degree mountaintop view. It’s a wow! The trail is in great condition, but look out for hornets in 2 spots. There is a huge nest underneath the bridge shortly after you start on the trail and another in a large hole in the ground to your right shortly before the switchbacks. Both are active. We didn’t have any issues, but I would avoid this trail (or bring an Epipen) if you are allergic to bees.
As a previous trip report said, you can bring your Prius, but it won’t like you. I have 8 inches of clearance on my car and still managed to scrape the bottom on a rock. Dappled sunlight can make it hard to see. It helps to have 2 people up front watching the road.
