There was fresh snow on the road that started at the junction to the upper trailhead. When we arrived at the upper trailhead around 10:00 we were the only car there. Snow on the trail didn’t really start until 0.5 miles in. Closer to the summit there was some icy wind scoured snow and in places it was around 10 inches deep. Was very windy at the summit. Saw two groups on the way back down. Total we took around 5 hours. It was sure a very nice and peaceful hike.

Also, we hiked without microspikes and were fine. Everyone else we saw just had boots on. Gaiters would have been nice.
