The roads were clear today. Any car can make it to the Sno-Park at Lake Wenatchee SP. We paid for a Sno-Park pass at the lot with $25 in the drop box. Restrooms are open and there’s a warming hut by the lot. We saw a rainbow and headed over to the lake wearing boots. It was slow going and we kept sinking in. We went back to the car and put on our snow shoes for the rest of the hike. There is a nice groomed ski trail but we stayed on the snow shoe trail that was clearly marked with blue flags and signs. We did a big clockwise loop along the beach, down by the creek and through the woods. Great for beginners or anyone.

Leavenworth was a good home base for some snowy fun.
