It was a beautiful day! Snow was consistent today above 2,800' feet, with drizzle the beginning of the day turning to snow at elevation. No views, but lots of fresh snow on the trail and trees.
Going up Mt Si (from the Little Si trailhead) the old trail was in good shape. About 3-4" new snow at the top, no old snow. I was the first to take the connector trail early afternoon from Si to Teneriffe, and there was 4-6" new snow on top of packed trail for most of that stretch, with only a couple of deeper drifts. Never much more than 6" on top of old snow all the way up Teneriffe. As long as I stayed on the trail there was no postholing or other challenges, the new snow was soft and easy to walk on, not slippery. The only place I used traction was coming down from the very tope of Teneriffe for the first few hundred yards.
Coming down the Teneriffe trail things were in good shape, also the Talus trail was good condition.
