Went up to Si friday after school. I Left the trail head at 5:00. I made really good time to the top and arrived there at about 6:30. I made it down at about 7:50 with twenty minutes spent wandering around the top. There was compacted snow on the last .5 of a mile but it was easy to walk on. Should definetly bring an ice axe if your planning on going up Haystack; I did not but I noticed some did kick steps in. If you plan to leave later in the day as I did bring a light with back up batteries in case you need them for the way down.
